LOGLINE:
When a young musician becomes a suspect in the murder of a Hollywood icon, he must expose the real killer before he becomes the next victim.
SYNOPSIS:
Mark Harlow, an up and coming singer on the verge of success, is the prime suspect in the horrific murder of aging actress Catherine Taylor. Demonized in the ensuing investigation, he survives several attempts on his life by an unknown assailant. Desperate to elude authorities and stay a step ahead of the real murderer, Mark escapes to the exclusive world of the L.A. club scene.
Anya Miller came to Los Angeles to find her missing sister. She works her way into the upper echelons of the club scene on the trail of her lost twin. Crossing paths with Harlow, she finds a faint connection to her sister. Refusing to let her only lead go, Anya forces Mark to take her with him. The unknown assailant threatens them again, but they escape unharmed. They delve deeper into the dark heart of Hollywood, threatening to expose long-buried secrets.
Detective Lavender has been on the force for almost twenty years, but he's still assigned all the jobs no one else cares about. That includes missing mid-western girls like Maya Miller. Detective Jim Brock on the other hand is the kind of guy who gets all the high profile cases and leads the investigation into Catherine Taylor's death. These ex-partners and full-time enemies cross paths when their cases overlap, neither one willing to back down on their territory.
Mark and Anya follow the trail of her missing sister, discovering an ultra-elite party circle. Using her sister's credentials, they gain access to the event hidden in the Hollywood Hills. Lavender and Brock separately get wind of the event and rush to the scene.
Mark and Anya are welcomed to the party and led through scenes of decadence, glamour, excess and fame on their way to see the anonymous host of the party. Despite their reluctance, Mark and Anya are ushered into a private room. The host reveals herself to be Catherine Taylor, still very much alive.
Shocked by the revelation, Mark and Anya demand answers. Detective Brock shows up, much to their relief. Brock takes the side of Taylor, to their surprise. Catherine reveals that Anya's sister Maya was killed in her place because they look so much alike and their DNA matches. Anya reels in shock when Catherine tells her that she is the twins' biological mother.
Lavender crashes the party and Brock rushes to investigate. Mark escapes, promising to come back for Anya. Catherine shoots Anya, wounding her.
Angel, the unknown assailant who has been trying to kill Mark confronts him. They fight and Mark is forced to defend himself, killing Angel. Lavender stumbles upon Mark hovering over the bloody body of Angel. Brock and Lavender square off while Mark escapes again.
Lavender kills Brock, calling him out for his years as a dirty cop. Mark rushes to make sure Anya is alive. Together they force Catherine out of hiding and back to the party. Catherine is reviled by the people she sought love from so desperately.
Mark and Anya recover and find love with one another someplace far far away.
