Biography - Chrys Coulter

In 1979, a Disney film called The Black Hole played in theaters across the country. I was just two years old when my father took me to see it on the big screen. Giant robots and images of deep space on that screen left a lasting impression.

In 1998 I shot an experimental short film based on a poem by Stephen Crane. The film, The Dark Riders, went on to become a finalist in the Slamdance Anarchy online film festival as well as being featured on Eveo, Showtime Online, and iFilm.com.

I spent 5 years with the Slamdance film festival getting to know the independent world by reading scripts and producing events in Los Angeles and Park City. I've been living and working in Los Angeles since 1998.
